jhilts - just a word of warning my friend, you really hit a nerve with that comment, a lot of the DB fans on this board are very sensitive to the "one-and-done" comments (referring to DB running the table during the season and then choking during the 1st round of the playoffs).    So be prepared to get blasted.   BTW, DB has actually gotten to the 2nd round more times than not, although last year was an exception, as you said.      I agree with you on SH too, the record clearly indicates they are going the right direction.    Is that because of Carter?    Maybe a special batch of athletes who happen to play at the same time?     The new stadium?     Hard to say, but for sure the DB/SH game this year is going to generate a lot of interest.

Since 1968, DB has played in:

11 games 17 times

12 or more games 17 times

Boy you really got me there! I don't know what I was thinking. I guess Science Hill really has turned the corner, Carter is a better coach than Clark, and Science Hill has a better football program than DB. You just proved that. And after all getting beat 63-20 is not nearly as bad as getting beat 44-0. Nothing is worse as a great big ole goose egg,

Typical.

Distort. Detract, Deflect.

Hay blazer, I started a Science Hill thread for you and jhilts.  So you can go over there and smootch & kiss all over the Toppers. If that doesn't work then you two should just get a room.

Your welcome

Ok, but if you read carefully you will see that we both defended DB against the "one-and-done" crowd that roams this board.     See ya in the Topper thread....

It was great for Science Hill to finally beat DB last year, however, I don't believe the outcome of that game was indicative of progress.  Both the Indians and the toppers were down last year compared to previous seasons.  In fact I didn't really see any outstanding NET teams last year.  One could probably make arguments for Betsy, South, or Greeneville.

How are the Vikes looking this year?     Without knowing much about who they have coming back I'm putting them 3rd in the conference behind the 2 6A schools.     Meaning that THS loses to DB and SH but beats everyone else in the conference.     Is that about right?

Im trying to figure out how you play in 11 games 17 times, and then 12 or more games 17 times. That's in a 46 year span, so I guess you subtract 11 from 17 and multiply that by 46 then add 17. I'm just guessing. This common core math is new to me.
