You're right, it will settle the public/private debate once and for all. But then people will be whining about open-zoned schools.

 

Until everyone gets a trophy, it won't be fair.  After they squash privates and open zones, urban schools will be next because they win too much.

You've got to take overall record out of the playoff scenario....bad, bad idea!!! Scheduling is a night mare for teams with good programs.

This open zone thing is a big issue in Georgia.   City Schools can take anyone from the entire County.  Example, Buford is playing like AAA winning state almost yearly,  they get the pick and choose kids they want from anyway in the County.   Another example is Calhoun.

I sort of like the Sub-Region system that Georgia has. You play 9 games and the 10th is a Playoff game against the winner of the other Sub-Region.

3 Classes and let DII Play in 3A ... Make a Championship even more Special than it is now . The better the Competition , the better the overall Football becomes in Tennessee . Setting the Bar lower and giving 20 State Championships a year does not make for better Competition .

I started another thread for the new 32 team 6A proposal. Basicially the top 32 teams based on enrollment will be placed in 6A. The rest will be reorganized into 5A-1A. Keep in mind Maryville would be 5A
