And I have to admit, although TC is a 2A team (seem to win the title every year though) they bring the best crowds to our games than anyone else we play. So I don't see them wanting to drop that game. I think the team that they have fielded this year can be a good football team, they just have to play smart. They have talent on the field. That's not hardly ever a problem at Gallatin High.

Have to agree with Thegreatone here. The non-district schedule is rather weak. It will not help the team prepare for solid competition they'll face in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong I respect the Gallatin program and what they have accomplished (a lengthy history of winning and state championships) but the team is not what it once was and it is ok to come to terms with that. Playing weaker teams is not going to build a state championship program. Competition should be the priority.

Competition under this format to enter the playoffs does not exist. It is all based on total wins. Nobody is claiming Gallatin has a strong schedule but I would not let one 2 year out of district scheduling period say Gallatin is playing the dregs of the football world. I think the past speaks for itself in who they are willing to play. It's laughable to think otherwise. Not only that but I know that over 30 teams were contacted for this past scheduling cycle and most said no thanks. You have to have an open date on the right week and extended travel were both concerns. Mid state teams besides those with 2000 kids said no!

WCP can fill you in. A parent of a player who got a letter told me. Luckily he was on the list. Way to divide your fanbase and team. Not too smart in my opinion.

Wave; I would be really interested in this letter thing. What list? I live in Lexington, KY and not privy to all the things said and done .
