District 7A Standings

Clay Co 6-0

Clarkrange 4-3

Jackson Co 4-3

Pickett Co 2-5

Monterey 1-6

 

Monterey and Pickett will play the playin game with winner playing Clay Co

Clarkrange vs Jackson Co the other game to open District Tournament play.

 

Clay still has to play Jackson & Clarkrange but will still be the #1 seed

Any guesses on who will win this tourn? Id like to go straight up with Clay but too many teams have split or games have been very close in this district. Clay only beat Monterey by two, JC got beat by Monterey and PC. Crange beat PC and Monterey both games but lost to JC. I will go with Clay but think any of the other teams can cause upset. Just hope tourn games are called better than some of the reg season games ive saw. Dont want refs deciding the winner

Since the district seedings have already been decided the remaining games that will be played will all be vanilla.  No one will show anything, no one will run any kind of defense or offense much so i don't put much stock into who wins or loses these games.  I think Pickett beats Monterey in the 4/5 game but they don't have to, it will be a tough game and a good team will stay at home!  As for the tournament  i'm going with Clay vs Jackson Co. and if Clay's guards are hitting their outside shots then i pick them to win if not then JC will win.  Should be a close game either way.

Sounds about right SportsFan. We are all in for some good games either way. Good luck to all the 7a teams. Will be there watching come tournament time. I took my vacation in the cold month of February just so i can watch

Tuesday 3/10- Play in games for the 4/5 seed girls followed by boys

Thursday 3/12- Girls Semifinal Games

Friday 3/13- Boys Semifinal Games

Monday 3/16- Girls consolation and finals

Tuesday 3/17- Boys consolation and Finals

 

Region Tournament first round should be Friday 3/20 (girls) and Saturday 3/21 (boys)

I think you mean 2 not 3 on all of them.
