Well I wish I could pick Clarksville in this one, but that may be a stretch.

But we are looking to give you all a good game.

Basically we are a team on the rise. We are building a program that will rival that of HC one day.

But we aren't there yet. We can't undo the last three years that had little to no lifting program for the team.

As for this year, we don't really know where we stand. We have (2) loses to Ravenwood & Centennial, which are top notch programs, and another loss to Rossview, which was our worse performance against probably their best of the year.

One thing I do know is that we are getting better each week and should be in the mix to make the playoffs this year.

Henry County 35 - 24 Clarksville

After surviving at Springfield last Friday, I am looking for the Patriots to come out strong and steady for Homecoming. This will be the first of the final three games against Clarksville schools. It seems that Clarksville High is the best of the remaining teams on the schedule so Henry County better not snooze on this one! Let's go Big Red, need to finish strong!!!

Go Big RED!!!

Ok, being the only CHS rep on here I guess I need to be a little more bold. There is no doubt that HC is the better program, but I still think the jury's out on how good of a team you are this year. And we certainly are a different animal than what you've seen the last two years.

I don't think you will be our toughest opponent seeing how we already played Ravenwood and Centennial which are both solid teams this year.

The realist in me predicts:

       Henry County 35 - 24 Clarksville

But the optimist in me predicts:

       Henry County 21 - 31 Clarksville

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
