Kermit, do you mind clarifying your comment regarding TCA troll? All the TCA fans I have ever spoken to have highest respect for UC's program. We've played a couple of times over the last 7 years and it has always been respectful. Can't imagine a TCA fan trolling their thread.

I didnt word that properly TCA Intense I meant trolling with the TCA where you at topic here:

You all don't forget poor ole South Fulton in this mix....But, if I'm reading the reason UC/OC don't play anymore, it's because UC was tired of OC trying and succeeding at times in recruiting some UC athletes ??...AmiRite ??...

And are ya'll saying there are ZERO kids that live within the Martin city limits that go to Dresden, Greenfield or Gleason H-S ??...

Can't forget that Weakley County has Sharon school that is only K-8. Those students have to make a choice where to go to high school. Sharon had a very good basketball player that I know several people were trying to persuade her where to go to high school.

I am sure it is, perfect example of what i have been saying.  thank you

like Lc 1968 said in other posts, the TSSSA is the ones letting this happen at all the schools statewide. I love playing UC in all sports , win or lose. But Every fan also knows what Big Dan is also saying.Yes, Union City is A Single A team by enrollment but like Big Dan said, look at the popolation they also get to pool from.Take Halls for example. They are in AA with probably 200 more students than Union City.Drive into Halls and it looks more like your classic rural small town and like most Single A places like Lake Co, Gleason, Greenfield. Then drive inti Union City and see All the car deakerships, hospital, Discovery Park, Titan Tire, restaurants, Walmart, McDonakds etc.Looks like coming into Jackson Tenn.So I get what he is saying. But still the TSSAA hascallowed these things to happen..can't keep a student from attendind others schools..Hig heaven is talking about sending his younger sons to Uc.Lake Co has lost about 1o students this year to Dyer Co and at least 2 athletes to Dyersburg.one of them a stud freshman from last years middle school team. But they all still live in Lake Co.Nithing anyone can do if the parehts want to send their kids there. But if the TSSAA would implement a rule that says any student that attens a nother school zone in which they do not reside, can't play athletic competition for a yearseems like it could be a simple rule.May still lose some students but I bet a lot woudnt go if they were athletes.I know some Memphis schools have school withing a few miles ofveach other.Same for Gibson Co schools.Nothing now against a kid from Dyer going to play football for Milan and maybe basketball for Humboldt but zoned fir Gibson Co.Dont understand why the TSSAA doesn't do this. And also with all the AAU teams, travel ballopen gyms at NIGHT , area schools are letting these players come to there counties and enticing a lot of the stud athletes to come to there schools.Nothing anyone can do about it unless rgecTSSAA decides to do something.Maybe doesn't affect the larger schools but for a school like Lake Co to lose 10 athletes to Dyer Co and Dyesburg and Obion Central, is a big blow and probably has cost Lake Co a few state titles

Iagree and Bigdan is right, UC and Adamsville are fielding teams with alot of outside players. Its not a knock of either, just a HUGE advantage. Private schools can't even match this type of advantage. If Iwere living near either of these schools, I'd send my kids there also.TSSAA needs to look at things like this and even the playing field. Its not like it takes a brain to figure this stuff out.

    • Yes in the regular season. But once Westview's young kids got the experience from the season, they only lost to Dyersburg by a field goal in the playoffs. Westview was young last year. They will be tough this year
    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
    • 1st round exit?        For real ?!?!?!                     Oh wait.....    are we talking band or football?
    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
