Someone wanted to know what other players we have besides #7. We have a rb #8 that runs around a 4.5 a wideout #89 that runs a 4.4 another wideout #5 runs a 4.5 wideout #4 runs a 4.5 a defensive back and kick returner #23 runs 4.4 or 4.5 we also have a few d-linemen that are nightmares to block. And a kicker with a good strong leg

Looks to me like that assistant coach from Jasper took his stop watch to Trenton to check these 40 times. If they are that fast y'all better get to the game early to get a seat. There's bound to be scouts from every NFL team and most major colleges in attendance. I say the better explanation is that the Peabody broadcast crew got a little carried away in their hype for the team. Personally I dont believe these times.

This team kinda sounds like the freakishly athletic Tyner teams of about ten years ago.......but the only difference is they also have a great coach. That could spell trouble.

maybe it's just me but that ADAMSVILLE video we seen truth looked as if ADAMSVILLE was slow and the only kid that could tackle was #17 their safety. It's okay. I like being the under dog

If you truly have 6 guys running legit 4.5's then I'm speechless.

QB is legit 4.4

89 is legit 4.5

The rest are all 4.7 or sub at worst.

Wish we had #22 back from a couple of years ago. I witnessed that kid run 4.38.

Anyway, they run fast. But that in itself is no sure victory in Saturday's game. Blocking and tackling always seems to play a big role. Funny how that works out.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
