GC will be the team to beat next year. Returning every player except one ( she will be missed). Also ,from what I have heard, there is a class of 8th graders that are moving up that can play! As far as coach Wilkins going anywhere soon is wishful thinking. He is a great coach, and got the best out of the players he had this year. He's not going anywhere soon!

I've watched almost all of the MS teams in rural west and there is no better 8th grade class than what Gibson has coming in. Also, the 7th grade class in Gibson has legit talent as well.

 

Martin MS is probably the only MS that might have a stronger 8th grade class and that's because they have a 6'3 kid and a quick guard.

Girls team at west middle in Jackson went 20-2 this year. Remember the quanardra miller. She will be a star at south side.

Gibson County should have made state this year and had every opportunity by playing at home. Sub state could have been GC worst game of the year. I wish GC could have made it to get the girls some experience on the big stage this year going into next year.  It would have helped to get the nerves out, like what happened in sub state.

 

Middleton & Gibson County will be the favorites next year out of West Tennessee to make it to the glass house.

 

Pickett County and Clark Range will be the favorites out of 7A next year for state.
