Would have loved to see a game between them and Milan that year. We were undefeated and AA state champs.

You had a great team. I recall all three state champs were from the eastern portion of the state.

Here's a great TN team of the past. The 1992 Clinton Dragons who were coached by now Maryville Defensive Coordinator Jimmy Gaylor. Lost to Gallatin 21-13 in the Clinic Bowl. Led by possibly the most explosive HS RB I have ever seen Scotty Whitt.

Not in '71. Milan is definitely from the west and the trophy looks good in the case as you walk in the front doors of the school.

Ha, good stuff. I never saw the others, except for Cozart in a scrimmage against us and we shut him down. I have heard great things about him though. Sadly, him and Whitt couldn't keep their heads on straight. I still wouldn't trade either one for Shawn Summers to be honest.
