Still don't have a great feel on where this Henry County team is. They are improving, but so far we've played one good team, one average team, and one bad team. The scores will tell you who's who. I don't know how good Gallatin is, but they are undefeated and should be prepared for as if they are very good.

Our run defense is very solid. None of our opponents to this point have had much success on the ground. Houston had a field day passing against us and Liberty found modest success through the air as well. The pass D looked much better last night, but that was against Northeast. Our offense has improved the last couple of weeks, but we haven't faced a defense as good as Liberty's in either game. I don't know how Gallatin stacks up in that department.

Our kicker is very good.

That's all I got right now.

I keep hearing about how good Henry Co's run defense is. It is fixing to be tested big time!!

Gallatin back will probably be the best HC has seen to this point.

Most likely correct. I haven't seen any overly impressive opposing backs thus far (in the regular season, that is). Liberty's were solid, but not as good as years past (in my opinion). Houston and NE couldn't get enough going on the ground for me to tell a whole lot about their backs. I look forward to the challenge Gallatin offers up.

Henry County will cause some matchup problems for Gallatin. Gallatin's OL must really bring all they have this week to establish the ground game. Gallatin can throw it but really has not needed to. Who are the top players for both teams? I'll start with Jordan Mason, Gallatin RB, 79 carries 557 yards in 3 games.

He's a legitimate player at the next level.

    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
