Can we please make this a regular thing like Liberty is? Ton of respect for the Green Wave program and fans. The atmosphere tonight is what Friday nights are all about.

I felt good about this game, but had no idea it would be a running clock in the 4th. Tough night for Gallatin... The blunders killed them. Take away the fumbles from each side and I still think HC wins by a decent margin, but the fumbles were as much of a part of the game as the touchdowns. I'm happy we were able to have multiple hats in the backfield for most of the night, because Mason is a load. He'll be fun to watch continue to develop.

You have to be able to pass the ball to score against HC this year. If the front 7 is allowed to just get after it and not worry about coverage constantly they're going to feast. Having 4 D-lineman like we do is a luxury that we need not take for granted.

I think what excited me most was our improvement on offense. There's been improvement every week. We're young at the skill positions and it's awesome seeing these boys learn on the job. #7 and #3 form a decent 1-2 punch if I may say so myself.

I'm going to temper expectations to an extent though. We played great tonight and Gallatin did not. I don't think it would be this lopsided if they lined up next week. We're young... but we're improving every day. One game at a time.

Great post. Spot on.

Said a couple of years ago 2015 and 2016 would be the years Gallatin has waited for.

I feel Gallatin wins 5A this year. This game won't be very close IMO. Gallatin 42-20

spot on there

I am not a Henry Co poster so please dont take my comments out on them...

that being said...im looking @ who the Gmen have played so far and im trying to figure out who the impressive win is against...Mt Juliet may go 0'fer and they arent competitive vs traditional football powers...Springfield beat 2 mediocre 3a programs...and then theres Hunters Lane...enough said

unless ur boys can put the ball in the air on target...ur not gona get many 1st downs in Patriot land

looking @ ur schedule it seems that Henry co may very well be the best team ur going to see all season outside of Hendersonville and theyre not exactly blowing teams out of the water yet

good luck to both teams...a lil more luck to the Big Red

Mt. Juliet did pull out a W tonight...they got me...however the other 2 did not

i also stand by my 2nd statement

Interesting opinion. I'd say Hillsboro and Beech will be a tad good as well. I hope Gallatin can keep it within 3TDs with our weak schedule.

i know it was a bad game...but liberty had 4 turnovers and a kick that was blocked...we dealt with it

Don't speak on teams you have no knowledge about, the Gallatin posters can agree with me here, MJ lost to Gallatin by 3 points and went to overtime with Ravenwood last week, two very good football teams. Don't let the defeated record fool you.

congrats on ur win and proving me wrong on the 0'fer...keep it up

Before you go knocking Springfield, I think Henry County got all it wanted and then some from Springfield last season when they visited the Yellow Jackets. I think GWAVE1 will agree that this year's squad is just as good as last year's team. Springfield would have beat the Green Wave if not for one bad quarter in that game, but it takes 4 quarters and I tip my hat to the Wave.

This game should be excellent and Henry County will have their hands full for sure. Gallatin is big up front and they come right at you. Henry County is an excellent place to visit and the fans that I have met that post on here are outstanding representatives for their fan base. I do wish that siren would break down though, . I would go to this game if Springfield was off this week for sure, but we are not.

agree with u ...but the siren does make the atmosphere

Congrats to Henry Co great atmosphere! Sorry we played the worst game in the last 3 years. Gallatin continued to shoot themselves in the foot and give it up to the Patriots limiting Gallatin all night with their strong defense. Gallatin was out of sync and had major trouble keeping the football not too mention the strong defense and hard running of Henry Co. The Pats just flat dominated the lines and capitalized on the gifts Gallatin gave them. Congrats to the Patriots.

GWave, I was shocked by that outcome! Very well pleased, but shocked nonetheless. We enjoyed having the Green Wave make the trip to Paris and enjoyed hosting you pregame. I know it was certainly a rough night for the faithful in Gallatin, but I can't help but feel just a little redemption for my team back in '86, a game in which Gallatin's line dominated ours. But for sure, keep you heads up. Mason is a great running back and your line play is not as bad as it looked last night. For me, this answered the question of how good our Defensive front really can be. Who knows, maybe we'll meet again come November! Good luck to Green Wave on the rest of the season!

Go Big RED!!!

FactsOnly's Factual Facts for the Factually disabled:

1  Much being made of fumbles

2  Appeared to me that unforced turnovers were about equal for both with HC forcing more than were forced on us.  Had there been no unforced turnovers for either team I believe it would have gotten uglier sooner for Gallatin

3  Our run defense is strong, real strong

4  Our pass defense is greatly improved, I'd say it was actually good

5  I challenge the drone pilot to fly regardless of weather conditions

6  Mason is a man.  Looked like trying to tackle a motorcycle

7  One forgets how good AC/DC really was until it is heard loudly

8  Actually, I'd say our pass defense was great last night - 2 or 3 interceptions, allowed no big plays, and layed the wood to a couple of would-be receivers

9  Y'all would be very impressed with Liberty but I'd like to think we'd have given Liberty all they wanted last night

Hope everyone got home safe.  Good luck the rest of the season.

I am still in shock at how bad Gallatin played last night and the comedy of errors.

I feel for you. I can attest to having that same feeling after having some Springfield teams that we thought had a decent shot to win down there come home having had our hats handed to us. It is a tough trip to make, especially playing a team that is usually very talented and well coached.

What a wild game and not what I expected. I was worried when HCs best LB #47 didn't come out at the start. Then his replacement made an interception on the first play of the game. Good luck to Gallatin the rest of the year.

Also, the twins, 30 and 35 stepped up in a big way and probably had their best game of the year.

Well when you play well and lose is one thing but when you keep making mistake after mistake and looked inept it's totally different. Not to take anything away from Henry Co because they were very tough but our mistakes really helped them with short field position and Gallatin having long 3rd downs because of miss snaps. That team looked nothing like the team we all have witnessed through preseason and the first 3 games.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
