BarneySox2007
2016 DB schedule is out for those of you who care: http://www.coacht.com/tennessee/inside/schedule.cfm?schoolid=114&seasonid=305&sportid=1 You know if I wasn't seeing things I would swear it looks just like the same teams you all played on the same weeks as last year except the locations where their played are different. Pretty much, except the opening game vs. Tenn High was on a Thursday last year. We'll get into this more later, but I see DB going 4-1 to start the first half of the season. This was an unprecedented horrible year for DB athletics and when you are this far down there is no way to go but up. BTW, the 2nd half of the season won't be as kind to the tribe. Let the X's and O's begin.....
Governm
It will be interesting to see how the matchup between WB and DB pans out up in Kingsport this year. That will be the first region game for both teams and should be a good indicator of how both teams will do in the region. Both teams had a rough go of it last year and seemed to fade in the second half of the season. I don't know what kind of offseason DB is having, but I do know WB is having a great offseason and we have a lot more guys out for football and lots of those guys are making big gains in the weight room. WB will be a huge underdog when they go to Kingsport, but if they are able to keep it close or pull off the upset it will spell great things for WB and bad things for DB. Alternatively, if DB comes out and runs an improved WB team off the field it will spell big things for DB and bad things for WB.

I see DB with the win but not by a blowout. If you have never been to Kingsport it can be an intimidating place to play. Don't get me wrong, it's a great stadium, but as an opposing team looking up at that upper deck it looks like the old (as in "original") Hawaii-5-0 wave coming at ya... Here is the Tri-cities preseason scouting report: My guess is that DB will be a little better than last year and Science Hill be not be quite as good as last year. Governm
Why do you think Science Hill wont be as good? Imo, this region will be just as tough as last year. The only difference is Jeff Co will replace WB as the lame duck of the region.

But remember guys, it's so early, spring practice has not even started yet.... Kids at this age can change dramatically from one year to the next in terms of size and stuff like that, so we are all just speculating at this point. But it's fun ain't it?? The most intimidating place by far in east tn is what stadium Maryville is playing in on any given friday night. The size of the stands or how big the bands is nothing compared to the 11 players the Rebs put on the field and everyone at the stadium knowing the best coach in the history of Tennessee high school football is down on the sidelines guiding them . Wait, You mean we spent millions on this stadium and........ There's going to be a lot of disappointed blue hairs when Maryville rolls into town. Personally I think the upper deck is so awesome it affected our own team. They should be used to it this year so the awesomeness of it should be settled in. I expect the Maryville players knees will be knocking so severely they won't even be able to line up straight. Not to mention the big screen which is bigger than Maryville's.
