Then be a Maryville fan? You talk about them as much as their own fans do. I'm sure R-Dub 87 or STARS, or Red Rebels can hook you up with some paraphernalia.

I've got my Devil championship stuff and DB stuff hanging in the closet but  I've pulled for Maryville many times when they were not playing those two.I don't have a problem pulling for most east TN teams when they get to the state quarters,semi's and finals.I would have zero jealousy to see any of the local schools up here win a title.I will tell you that not all people are that way.Greene county folks hated Greeneville high when I played .I'm sure Maryville has got plenty of hate over the years .

I don't hate Maryville at all. I know a lot of their fans, and even hang out with 'em. They have earned their rightful place as to what most programs strive to be. With that said, I am a proud Oak Ridge Wildcats fan, and I will acknowledge they're good, but I'm not going to talk about 'em all the time either. But, you do you, Batman! It's all good brother!

It's all good Science ,I wouldn't want you to talk about them all the time but if we keep talking about them it's going to look that way . B)

About the most disheartening topic I've ever read when it comes to Dobyns Bennett sports.

 

LT - it has been a bad year for DB football and basketball, one of the worst in school history.   But never fear, DB is going to turn it around this fall.   No, I'm not saying DB competes with Maryville or anything like that, but I see a winning season on the horizon.    Know why?    Because DB is still DB!!!

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
