With all of your talk about money I guess Nolan got the passing the buck strategy from you.

This has been done for awhile. I told y'all last week. Some actually said there's no way Nolan would hire him because of no HC experience. And yet, here we are.

 

Kids are excited and that's all that matters today. I'm glad for Coach K and the football team.

Congrats to Will.  Nobody knows whether he will do a great job or not, but have to give him a chance.  And why does it matter if it is a 6A program or not to get his first head coaching experience.  He has been in the program and obviously seen how it runs so why should he be limited to a 2 or 3 A job, makes no sense.  If he is good enough to be a head coach it does not matter at what level.  Kirby Smart had never been a head coach but yet got hired as a head coach in the SEC at Georgia, just saying.

Get real. he may be a fine young man but you don't hire a head coach with no head coaching experience for a 6A school in the state of Tennessee. What a bone head move....strictly financial and a no guts move on the part of Nolan....

I know a school to the east that went this route a few years ago. To be fair, at the time they were only playing little ole 4A ball though.

There is an outstanding support group at Riverdale. They are just tired of mediocrity and this decision was strictly a pass the buck decision by Nolan who knows he's retiring soon...

Building a new football facility makes a great support group. Purchasing all new weight equipment makes a great support group. Purchasing new uniforms makes a great support group. And doing all these things while having a coach who couldn't give a **** about the players makes for an outstanding support group!!

 

Support people have no say in hiring. Money does not give you or anyone the right to tell them who to hire. Support is all you are to do. If you think making donations give you that right ,then maybe you should have given more. I will look for your name on something at Riverdale.
