REBELHELL
By all rights Maryville being a 5A school playing in 6A by request should be the favored team. Alcoa for some reason has always had one of the best athletic ratios per student going back far as the school has existed. Alcoa dominated way before integration in the mid sixties back in the fifties just like they do today. Never seen anything quite like it in the State of Tennessee. Not sure if there is something in the water over there or what it is but that is one of the reasons this rivalry has always been so close no matter how many more students Maryville has then they do. I think I know who will win this game but we won't know until this time tomorrow. check the schedules

strongx
Another great day for football. Something is going on in the county. They are talking about winning alot of games this year in LA - maybe even top 2 in the region. Hairtage has a opportunity tonight. Will wb open the door? Meanwhile, inside the green signs is another tv game between the two twin cities. Hard to really understand the success of these two schools and their proximity to each other. Both these schools take it seriously. This game my be different than the last several between these teams. Murvil may be the running team tonight, and alcoa may throw it more. Murvil's D has taken some criticism while alcoa's D has received some high praise compared to last year's studs. So there is a chance tonight that alcoa may be better in 2 phases of the game. The difference may come down to the old ball coach and the old home field advantage. MURVIL IS THE WINNING TEAM! ALCOA IS THE LOSING TEAM! PEANUT BUTTER PIE FOR THE REFEREES! 28-27 IS THE SCOREBOARD! This one may come down to a 2 pt conversion to win it. Best of luck to all the kids.

BCsportsfan
Something to ponder. ...Alcoa's Kicker Ben Smith is very good fieldgoal kicker from the 30 yard line and in. He sent one right down center against Webb from this distance....which calculates out to 42 yard field goal. Pretty good for High School standards.Plus, His kickoffs sail thru the end zone. This is a nice weapon Alcoa is not used to having.
