Weather was great here Friday night, only had a few sprinkles until after the game

We needed the rain just not at game time. We had a monsoon & a 1 1/2 hr lightning delay in Dresden. Looks like better weather in the forecast this Fri.

Just when you thought we needed a little motivation. Then comes along a little fellow that only got participation awards growing up. I hear you. Keep putting it out there.

Anything can happen next week, but I have said it all along. This is the defacto state championship. I had these two ranked 1 and 2 the last half of the regular season for a reason. I believe Dresden wins this game by 10-14.

One thing I like about the state semifinals this week is if includes four teams that are perennial 1A teams that will still be here the next four seasons.

I had em ranked as the final 2 in the west all year.  Should be a heck of a game. I think all classifications semifinal games and championships would be on dvd.

I won't lie. To start the season I had these two plus NCS and UC in the top 4 with Huntingdon 5. All five were really good teams. I had UC in the number one spot until all the injuries hit their team. I still believe they could have had a shot if not for the rash of injuries. They are part of the game though. Once I heard of the injuries, I started slowing sliding them down my Poll. LMBO. I'm almost positive it went.

2. Dresden

3. Wayne Co

4. NCS

5. Huntingdon

Those are all very good teams and I agree injuries can devastate a team.  Rice and Winn are the reason I elevated them both to the final 2 in the west.  Not surprised they are still standing. I think a lot of folks had these 4 semifinal teams pegged as such.
