I didn't get a chance to watch the 89 team , but from all the Alcoa teams I've ever seen it was 2009 hands down . I don't like the IFL , so I'll just say , More than likely they were the best team in the State that Year . Yes , they beat Maryville very easy and never threw a pass ... And Maryville did take the Silver Ball home in 6A that year , not exactly a push over .

I was so honored tonight to meet Albert Davis ! I shook his hand and told him I grew up hearing about the Legend of Albert Davis ! He was larger than Life and I remember thinking when I was around 8 years old he must be Like Superman ! He was Awesome and he was a True Gentleman . It really did make an otherwise unpleasant night Memorable .
