From the Whitehaven Football Twitter page; It seems that Lausanne RB, Eric Gray, and Whitehaven RB, Chris Whitherspoon,along with Memphis Central's WR, Shamar Nash, all went to the Mike Vick V7 Showcase camp at TSU in Nashville recently and turned heads. Kudos to those three young men for going to Nashville and representing Lausanne, Whitehaven, and Memphis Central.

 

Whitehaven alum and fans ... Whitehaven currently has both Lausanne and Centrel on the 2017-2018 football schedule. Lausanne is an OOR game and Central is a region opponent. I'm glad our defense will get to play against some top notched players during the regular season. Makes the games more exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing this guys up close and personal.

I can't wait for Week 4. Very interested to see how Gray does against the big, physical, speedy defense of Whitehaven. It will also be interesting to see how Witherspoon, Williams, and Sean Wilder (I'm assuming he'll start at the other corner position?) do against their former team.

 

KWC, I'm thinking of making my way to Whitehaven Stadium Friday evening for the spring game. Will the atmosphere be similar to that of a Friday night game in the fall?

I think the Lausanne guys will do fine against their old school. Whitehaven still has some holes to fill, especially on the O-line and D-line.

 

The atmosphere will be very good but it will not be the same as a Friday night during the regular season. It is enjoyable enough. The scrimmage this Friday isn't against Trezevant as it was planned because coach Telli White is now at Melrose. I think this Friday is going to be a joint scrimmage between Whitehaven, Wooddale, and Craigmont.  Don't quote me on that, but I think that is the case.
