From watching the video the starting QB and #21 for Lipscomb are really good players.  I think #21 scored all of the Mustangs points and if he is banged up might be a very long season for them.  Yes South Pitt may be small in terms of the number of students, but they will bring a good team with a long history of beating much bigger schools.

In private school sports programs, you are always one bad hire away from disaster. All of the publics picked on the privates for recruiting. The thing the publics dont realize is how difficult it is to keep and maintain a private school program. Publics have little to worry about when it comes to losing players to other schools. Yes, I know it happens, but not at the rate it can happen to privates. It appears that Lipscomb has fallen victim to this very thing. All you have to do is look at Ezell Harding and what has happend there in the last few years and you get the picture. I would think CPA has taken a lot from the mid-size private pool.

It's more than the football program - Lipscomb needs a new athletic administration. It has been going downhill for a number of years. The choices of coaches recently have been abysmal. Unfortunately, leadership doesn't seem to care all that much.

You may want to start by replacing Randy Lowery and all of his California political correctness.  Until the old Lipscomb family circles the wagons and has a president and the majority of it's board of directors from Lipscomb they will continue to have problems.

Not picking of David Lipscomb because there are other private schools that have made the same mistakes and they are also suffering.

So a university president is making the high school coach run an antiquated offense and hiring second tier coaches?  I'm not buying that.  The Headmaster, AD, head football coach, every single football assistant (and while we're at it, the head boy's and girl's basketball coaches) are all "from Lipscomb" and that entire athletic program is a only a shell of what it once was.  It used to be fun to play Lipscomb because they were good.  Heck, they even kicked our butts several times over the years.  Now, it's just sad, really.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
