Hillsboro @ #1 Beech

Next Friday is a big game in Region 6-5A. Hillsboro travels to Shackle Island to take on the #1 team in 5A. Beech rolled over Springfield yesterday and Hillsboro barely held on to beat CPA. The Bucs looked to have things figured out this year and are a pretty solid team. Who do you like and why?

Here is what surprised me last night after watching footage of Hillsboro's previous games.  Apparently it surprised CPA also given the first half. They played 5 lineman on defense the entire night I think. I knew the DEs were very good, but the entire line played a heck of a game.  Also, direct snap (actually roll) to #9 over and over and he ran hard.

I believe the difference with this years Beech team is that they play together and believe they're supposed to win.

Hillsboro has a stud back in #9 Frazier. Transfer from Whites Creek I believe. he is awesome & deserves way more recognition then he has gotten. Hillsboro will go as far as his legs take them. 

Beech is 0-4 in their last 4 games vs Hillsboro. The scores have been 31-26, 21-17, 42-7, 35-13.. 

 

The question is do the Beech players think they can win? Should be a thriller

The ones I have talked to know the potential of Hillsboro, but I believe they expect to win. This is a pretty good Beech team.
