Would those numbers lie if they played Waverly which is avg. 60 points a game

What's that saying about bullfrogs and wings? Nobody said they would beat Waverly, and frankly there's too much football left for either team to be worried about that game. Honestly, anyone who actually knows football will tell you the west is loaded and Waverly is probably the favorite. I will say Meigs has a good team and it's exciting to see how good they can actually be. HV will be the best team Meigs has played up to this point. Should be a great game. Advice for HV fans, get here early if you can. Early guess is there will be a lot of people in Decatur this Friday.

Looking forward to seeing Meigs play their starters for 4 quarters. I'm interested in how they measure up. Considering their schedule Rockwood, Oneida, Sequatchie. They have played bigger teams. I'm gonna go ahead and say it will be chippy for sure if HV likes to mouth and play cheap shot ball.

HV Is a nasty bunch. They are extremely physical.

I agree,Meigs D averages giving up around 9 pts a game for the season

Nothing against the JV. But most of those points were scored against them. I think the varsity gave up around 70 points on the years. In a 11 games. Which could probably be said about HV to. I think both teams have played about the same schedule. Maybe 3 or 4 quality teams. With Grace being the best for HV. And Sequatchie for Meigs.

Meigs seems to have had the studs come in to make them a high caliber program.

HV's D made a young Hampton & a rebuilding Cloudland look bad!  But JC, GCA and SN gets the W and gets it at HV! SG game was 28-7 but SG was handled by Hampton and stomped by Meigs. HV stopping Oneida's O wasn't a surprise.

Does all this mean anything? I really don't know! Would like to say HV rolls. HV has the weapons but no clue how they'll exit the bus.

Happy Valley looks to be a different team now after 3 consecutive losses. At least that's what the numbers are showing. Any reason for that? Or just having a hard time building back confidence? I'm not disrespecting your team by any means. but, the team on paper put up monster numbers it looks like before that.

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
