These are just kids man. Why the chip on the shoulder? Whitwell hasnt been this good since early 90s. The kids will get a shot to beat SP for first time in 20 plus years next week. Will be a good game.

I have no doubt the next SP/Whitwell game be a good game. They have a very good team that is loaded with athletes. When was the last time Gordonsville was mercy ruled at home? I remember SP did it many years ago.

Gordonsville shocks the world and beats Whitwell. The best thing about going through Whitwell? After two minutes you are leaving Whitwell.

LMBO, another Whitwell fan trying to fire up the team. They don't need it. Gordonsville is going to get mercy ruled at home. That much is certain to me.

I agree with you this game will be over by halftime Gordonsville is a 1 dimensional team and really a l player offense which plays right into whitwell strength you have to have lot of speed to beat whitwell and Gordonsville has no speed from what I seen when they played TC

Really has nothing to do with Whitwell. Has to do with bass and me.lol. whitwell has a good team. But in my opinion about a touchdown short.

I’m just gonna say it....I would much rather mercy JB, and Gordonsville somehow beat Whitwell, and we play them in quarters instead of Whitwell.

I think no chance IMO. The rematch has been the driving force since the loss to you guys. Not saying we will win the rematch but these kids want it bad.

He sold out to make a play, went out completely with his cleats on.   That one undeniably hurts Whitwell,  Shrum made plays , he made a catch vs Trousdale that gave Whitwell a chance to win, He finished a block for 15 yards this year and pancaked the kid he was blocking in the endzone before the RB could score on a 30+yard run, he’s set the edge defensively and you couldn’t ask a high school ball player to do more then what he did for his team, because week in week out on game day he went to work.

Going forward Whitwell will have to replace him, with good football players,  because in my opinion he’s one of the top 10 players in the valley.

Hate to hear this, tough kid.

    • That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.
    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
