Pickett will be better than last year when they were 2nd best in the state...played South Greene the closest of anyone in the tournament. They have Courtney Pritchett a Miss Basketball possible nominee (she beat out last year's Miss Basketball to win the MVP in both the district and region tournament), starters Savannah Hammock and district defense MVP Gracie Martin back and high scoring sometime starter Aaliyah Brown back, plus some very good younger players and 2 time 7/8th grade state champion freshmen added. Clarkrange will be very good and both should go back to the state. Jackson County and Clay County will be good as will be Red Boiling Springs.

Big Sandy High School (Big Sandy, TN)
Clarksburg High School (Clarksburg, TN)
Huntingdon High School (Huntingdon, TN)
McKenzie High School (McKenzie, TN)
West Carroll High School (Atwood, TN)
Collinwood High School (Collinwood, TN)
Frank Hughes High School (Clifton, TN)
Loretto High School (Loretto, TN)
Perry Co. High School (Linden, TN)
Summertown High School (Summertown, TN)
Wayne Co. High School (Waynesboro, TN)

OF course I dont know alot about those teams in district 11 but from what I know SHS has coming back, anything less than a region championship will be a disappointment for me.

If you don't know alot about the other district, you shouldn't make the comment that it should easily be won by Summertown. I do believe they have a great chance, but I also don't underestimate any of those other teams.

Sorry...I just glanced and thought it was 6A district rather than region.

I know enough that Huntingtondon is the only team in the other district that anyone has remotely mentioned as a possible contender on a statewide level. The word on them is good players, bad coaching.

Perry County has a girl that is a great athlete and is probably the most athletic in District 12A if not the Region. She's a senior and is capable of going for 30 at any time. But I know Summertown has a bunch of good athletes and a great overall team. Huntingdon scares me because now the Lady Vikings will have to beat them or Summertown to go back to the State Tournament for a third straight season.
