Cobb is so fun to watch and by all accounts a terrific kid.

This is going to be a fun region to watch this year, better than last year. It will be very competitive where at least 4 or 5 teams could beat the others. CA is the team to be because they are the defending champs. The tough region should make each team better for the playoffs. Don't be surprised if a team makes a good run that doesn't win the region.

Iron sharpens iron, and this region has plenty of it.  All teams making the playoffs in his region will wreak havoc in the other regions and should be meeting back up with their own foes herein. Pullin’ For my Dawgs with 16 Srs, a defense mostly in tact from last year and a backfield that could surpass 3,000 yds rushing this year. CA scrimmages East Nashville this Friday at Vanderbilt Stadium 6 pm.

Will definitely be some exciting games in this region in 2018.  Even the #4 seed out of here will be strong.

LC are having a three way scrimmage with Dyersberg and Lexington. Should be a great gage.

Any way Summertown can sneak in as the 4? They were EXTREMELY young in 2017. They also have a decent feed coming up. Their 7th and 8th grade team last year hadnt lost a game in 2 seasons if my memory is correct (someone told me this last fall)

It's not a bad question VC, but who do they replace? Are they going to be improved enough to beat LC, CA, Eagleville or Forrest?  Forrest was 80% sophmores and it looked like they were playing a middle school team. I truly mean no offense with that, we've been there too!!

Forrest was underwhelming. Very. 

Played to a 7-7 tie with Mt Pleasant, who looked to have about 20 kids total. In my opinion MP out hit, out hustled, our cared and out worked Forrest in every phase. At least 6 dropped passes. I attribute it to a few factors. 

- Still adjusting to new coach 

- It's a scrimmage, who cares

- New line up front on both sides. 

- MP played well and looked motivated. 

- Potential continuing immaturity of a still young team. 

Based on last night, I predict a similar season to last year's. Losses to BGA, LC, CA, and either Eagleville or Watertown. Fayetteville will be a dog fight. Should beat Loretto, Summertown, Community and Cascade, although anything is possible. 5-5 or 6- 4 is likely, with another 4-6 a real possibility. The Forrest teams from 2013-2016 would mercy rule this team. More heart and more guts. 

This team just doesn't look very good right now, and I'm not sure they realize it.  I hope they get things fixed, but a lot of times, teams don't get much better than they show in late July.
