I have some strong opinions about the head coach but I will not state them on here as I know I will get backlash for it. But yes the defense is very good. The team is very talented. It just looks like ever since the FRA game they have lost their step and stopped caring. The talent on this team is enough to get them far in the playoffs. But the lack of effort, the turnovers, and the mental mistakes have killed them the past few weeks.

Right!!! I get it's very frustrating but gotta have short memory of the Win and the Loss  the same!!!!

As a Summertown fan, I would love nothing more than to see Loretto stack the box, shut down the running game and walk out with a win. Just love seeing CA get knocked down a peg or two by the little public schools in Lawrence County. Good luck to the Stangs!!!!! Beat em like you did in basketball!!!!

What about in baseball though?

Coach Lansdell, the head coach, broke his hand punching a wall after the loss tonight. I believe he is gonna have the boys firing next week

His next punch needs to be at the CA radio/TV guy. That guy needs to go coach something and get out of the booth. Constantly questioning the coaches play calling. To the point where sarcasm was evident. I agreed with alot of it but I wouldn't want my radio guy questioning my coach in front of the fanbase.

The CA is what can happen when you don't have  COMMUNITY of kids. It seems easy to figure out. Hohenwald is a community. These kids play together for 10 years before they are even freshman. On an equal playing field with talent, the public school team SHOULD win.

I just underestimated LC's heart

Breaking your hand as a coach is asinine. These are still children. Get a life. If he literally spent the night in the ER over a broken hand that is a joke. What's next, a youth coach doing the same thing?

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
