Martin is the best QB in 4A. After this season both teams will return to mediocracy.

It was the early 2000's the last time GHS was Mediocre. It is up for debate if they will be relevant in the search for a state title next year, but they wont be mediocre. Their system is loaded with great athletes and an off season program that physically turns boys into men.

If you say so.......

Coach doesn’t say so he knows so. Your talking to a man that put his blood, sweat, and tears into the Greeneville High School athletic program for years! If anyone knows what it takes it’s this man!

Hope all is well these days coach(noonesfools) I bet you can still throw some of these guys down on the wrestling matt lol

The proof can be seen after these boys get to high school.Best case was last year against Dobyns Bennett. This senior class played a lot of boys up when they were at GMS.Dobyns Bennett has not one but two middle schools.Sevier just rolled GMS and Robinson put GMS out of the playoffs and beat Sevier for the championship. In other words,Dobyns Bennett should have beat Greeneville by a bunch last year .That is,if both were in the same coaching and strength system. That's how far this class came from four years ago and now look at both schools.

Was Martin or Ballard named Mr. Football last year?

And as for being mediocre, that's just a bad statement. They may not be state championship worthy next year but they're returning some studs next season and the Freshmen class has some athletes. After one year in the weight room and with the coaching staff, they'll improve so  much where at other schools they wouldn't because of the staff. They should definitely be state quarterfinal, semifinal worthy and most programs in Tennessee would call that a successful year. But I guess you're right, that is mediocre for Greeneville.

only reason Martin wasn't named Mr Football was because AC lost. What martin did in that game last year is legendary.

I'm not debating that Martin isn't a great QB, but Ballard was Mr. Football for a reason. He was the best each and every single week. I guess we will see who gets that honor this year as well, and that can be a debate for another day.

Cade Ballard is as good as advertised, Martin plays in a weak region without the needed tools to surpass Cade for the Mr Football award. Cade already has two wins over 6A schools that are normally better than their records this year. Lots of football yet to be played, but none the less, Cade Ballard should without a doubt win again hands down this year. With  his command of a great football team, he has mastered the QB position,. and continues to impose his will on lesser talent. Betsy and the Toppers have nothing to counter the Devil attack, and no real way to score what will be needed to challenge the Devils. The State Championship awaits.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
