Last week all I heard was the Jasper people I work with saying they thought they would give SP a good game and was looking forward to it this Friday and this morning there singing a new tune. There not coming now and saying they will be lucky to finish 3-7.  I told them they needed to support those boy's up there no matter what.  I just can't take fair weather fan's.

so you dont like many sp fans.  Man, a couple of years ago the stands were 1/4 full when we played, and there sure weren't many posters.  I will be there in support of mc but I expect a bloodbath....lol.  we will probably finish 3-6.

You are talking about 2014, but I was still here. Go ahead and say in right. LMBO

I would guess SP has an average 40-50% of its fan base show up weekly. Less than that during lean years. Spoiled fan base for sure. Mindset is play for Gold or go home. Even on strong years when the team has a chance for a special year most only show for the big games and then again in 3rd & 4th rounds. It is just the beast that coach Grider created. Hopefully he throws his anchor down and never leaves. With social media being what it is today no coach deserves to have to follow in his foot steps

Lying lips let me ask you a question.  Does that Mathis man already no Grider is letting this Dunwoody lady sit in his coaches area in that Sherrill mans press box? I garuntee you that Mathis man will be real mad when he finds out.  Grider better rehire that durn body gard Friday night.  You think im joking but im not.

Don't miss quote me. I like all people.  But, it does bother me to have fair weather fans. As you can see I have been on coacht since 2003 posting and haven't gone anywhere. My family and me have been to most all games including the away games, so yes we were part of that 1/4 crowd that night. As in most schools, and I will say SP for sure since I know about us, that we will have people that don't know jack about the team but show up and act like there the biggest Pirate booster when it comes to going to the state championship.  I have to say one thing though Truth, at least you show you are a real warrior and to bad some of the other's that use to get on here and talk about the game are no where to be found. Be safe.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
