Wayne Co plays a certain style of ball. Good year or bad year, you know you're gonna get a tough, physical team with WC. 

Lots of folks were banking on an easy win for Huntingdon here, but I knew better. WC always plays Huntingdon tough. I've enjoyed the rivalry that has developed here. Gonna miss it if/when Huntingdon goes to 2A

Swenson made a couple adjustments at the half that have made the difference on defense for the mustangs, good football team

This game was for the # 1 seed in the region. Wayne Co was not going to go down without a fight. Great play calling kept the Mustang defense off balance the whole first half. Huntingdons speed was to much for the Wildcats as we pretty well scored at will. When the defense finally got a few stops it was all over. Wayne Co did a super job of controlling the ball in the 1st half. Huntingdon only ran 2 offensive plays the 1st quarter. Thanks to Wayne Co for giving us a scare by playing the Mustangs a tough , physical game. We needed this!

Coach Rice had a good game plan ,to keep the ball from the Mustangs . After the first kickoff to huntingdon he learned not to kick to #7 who took it back for our first score . i'd guess Wayne co had the ball 16:00 in the first half. but Huntingdon came out and took control in the second half and #9 could not be stopped around the corners with great lead blocking. Wayne co played and hit hard the whole game. I think they were better than Milan and a good test to get us ready for the playoffs. Did have fun watching one Wayne co fan walk into the endzone down by the creek and get on the refs. They promptly sent him on his way to watch the game from outside!!!

Huntingdon has the same problem they have had for the last several years.  Defense trails offense in performance. It is difficult to make championship run when you have to outscore every team you play.

Mid 90's saw Huntingdon defenses that would shut a team down.

Wayne Co. has some good fans! I said when they played Riverside early on, they'd be ready in time for the playoffs. I think a little of that showed up last night. Wishing Wayne Co. and Huntingdon well as they both rev up for the playoffs.

Mustang defense has given up some points this season our defense is young starting just two seniors. Losing 76 on defense really hurt. He's in my opinion the best defensive tackle in West Tennessee. We're playing well in the 2nd half but not putting a whole game together.

I believe the biggest reason Huntingdon is looking better in the 2nd half of games is depth.  Huntingdon has to figure out how to be ready to play d as soon as they step off the bus.  The level of play changes once playoffs start and not sure Huntingdon is ready to meet that challenge yet.  Huntingdon has a real good team.  Lack of tough competition makes you complacent.  When you meet at team such as Wayne co that is ready to hit you in the mouth, you have to match that intensity early on.
