1A: 0-375 2A: 376-556 3A: 557-821, Notable numbers, Watertown goes from 537 to 572 (roughly 8% increase) trending towards 3A for them. Trousdale County goes from 388 to 360 (roughly 8% decrease) trending towards 1A for us. Republic is the biggest question, they went from 361 to 664 (roughly a 45% increase) their numbers say 3A but not sure they can move 2 classes? Which region do they get, 4 or 5?

will they adjust anything after this season? We're (Cosby) setting at 354 and playing AA while theres about 10 schools bigger than us (some significantly) still in 1A.

If you don't have an increase or decrease of 20% you stay where you are.

If one has an increase of 20% or more and that increase causes that school to fall in a new classification then you get moved up.

If one has a decrease of 20% or more and it causes that school to fall into a new classification then they can request to be moved down or stay where they are.

No one can petition to move up during mid classification. There was talk that a school or two might request to move up.  You can't unless you have a 20% increase and then you have to move up mid classification.

So by the numbers at the next reclassification, Trousdale will be a 1A school again

Not necessarily.  We don't know what enrollment numbers will be for each school in 2 years.  So we don't know what the cutoff numbers will be.

When the 6 classes are divided equally, you get a set number of schools in each class. That is what determines the new cutoff numbers.

Now if we go back to the Super 32, as what's being floated around, then your chances of being in 1A increases as there will be more schools in each of the 5 lower classes.

    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
