I’m sure each kid has a uncle aunt cousin somebody that lives close to each school. I mean each relatively close to one another in the city. They just transfer and put down the  right address lol   I’m sure the office doesn’t care

That is the least of worries them schools are thinking about I’m sure

Okay. Who knows anything about Douglas this season? We played them last year and they were tough. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

They lost the qb. And he was a threat. Lost several key players. If you grind them the first series and score then they will lay down.

Not dissing Trenton, but dad was right about "small town ball" in general. Scotts Hill has played in a bigger area than just about anyone over the past few years ( from Middleton and Halls to the west, Clarksville to Loretto in the eastern extreme), and the small rural schools turn out to watch and support their kids. We  have had our share of small Memphis schools in the playoffs, and it's truly a shame when the attendance is fewer than the number of players on the team.

Softball hosted Oakhaven a couple of years ago on the same night that we had "meet the coach" for our basketball hire, and we invited them to join us after the game in the gym... It was both a happy and sad thing to watch those girls be amazed at the number of people there "just" to welcome a new coach to the Lion family. They stayed for the entire event, had a great time mixing with our kids, and were sad when they had to leave. All kids deserve to have what most of us small schools view as normal.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
