I'm glad you tuned in. Now, let's get a few things straight. First off, it was a lot of coach speak. We will see what your coach has to say Thursday. The cold temps and footballs were brought up by me, so there's that. I guess you missed the part where he said we were coming to win a football game. Cornersville does not have the rich playoff history that Huntingdon does, I think we all know that by now. Our last road playoff game was against South Pitt 2 years ago and we were demolished as a 4 seed. That was the same year I believe if I looked at it correctly this Mustang team went 8-3 with a first round exit as well. As far as the guys being scared to death as you put it, I can guarantee you it's not of Huntingdon. Both of those guys were on the field last year getting the W. Have you ever been a 17 year old talking on the radio with mom, dad, and many others listening? It's called being nervous. For one, it was only his 2nd time doing it. I do not believe any Cornersville poster has said anything negative about the mustang players, so please leave your negative comments about players to yourself. Streaks were made to be broken, WC proved that last Friday. Maybe it's time for us to do the same.

I enjoyed the small part that I heard. I respect Cornersville more than any team Huntingdon has ever played. I expect an all out war Friday night. 11 seniors on this Mustang team. Less than half play a big part. 24 juniors and majority of them play key roles. We drop off in the freshman and sophomore classes. Mustangs better do it these next 2 years! 76 look forward to meeting you Friday night. Safe travels to all the Corndogs!

Thanks for letting us know about the show. I thought the young men did great. Ignore anyone who says different.

No harm no foul Waker. All good. Most of us here got thick skin. And thick skulls too. Hoping for another great game. Thanks for the compliments. I spoke to some Mustang fans last year. Overall a good group that is passionate about their team. I like that.

Not a problem. I appreciate any and all that listened in. It is something the radio station does for all three county schools on Tuesday night's during football season. Our coach in particular looks at it as an opportunity to let the guys get exposure. If it is a win, they get the glory, if it is a loss coach comes by himself and takes the blame.

17 seniors on this year's bulldog team. 13 juniors I believe, my son being one of the juniors. Cornersville has a ton of respect for the Mustangs as well. One of the greatest ball games I have ever seen. Hope to see the same this Friday. Like I said on the show, once teams hit the elite 8, it gets so tough. Last two seasons bulldogs are 25-2. Both teams are 12-0 and hate for either to lose, but someone has to. Best of luck to both. Regardless of who wins, I will be making the trip to the SC game to watch whoever may be playing in it. I believe some said the Mic Stand. I will be there.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
