Indian, most schools in TN are open enrollment.  My question would be,  "why arent other schools, scrutinized for open enrollment?" The answer is, because they are not as successful.  For example Alabama plays under the same rules as everyone else in the ncaa, why are they more successful?

Its a level playing field,  some schools/communities/boosters/coaches simply do a better job with what they are given.

Why is Alabama  more successful? Because they recruit the best talent lol. Look back and see how many times they had the #1 class. Or maybe they have a great youth program to lol. I'm not saying they aren't mostly from there. But it only takes 1 or 2 good starting players coming in from outside to unbalance things..That stat posted above says nearly 1 out of every 5 players is not from there..now we all would be happy to take in great players nothing wrong with it if it's done the right way..but don't get all loud and running your mouth about the greatness in Alcoa when 19% of them aren't from there. You won't find another team in the playoffs with a number that high. Good program..great team..but its consistent  greatness is influenced greatly by transfers the rest of us don't get.

How many of the 19% you are mentioning play football Hat? It isn’t 19%, so please let it go. No need for you already looking for excuses. It isn’t even Monday yet. Enjoy the moment. Don’t let all the haters, who will spew hate at any chance, keep you all keyed up. Or stay keyed up, it’s all in how you want to take it. Life is too short tho. Breathe! :thumb:

Im not making excuses. It is what it is. Go to Alcoa's website. What do you see under athletics? Sports forms. And under that link is an application to apply as a non resident student to see if you get "accepted". I don't care how many there are. We still going to play football. We sure don't have that form so easy to access around here. Those non resident students do play football and the incoming talent is why y'all maintain your perch. Would be good without it but not as consistent. I'm sure it's all on the up and up.

How can you say “not as consistent”? You must have a pretty accurate crystal ball. Maybe you can forward some lottery numbers Friday night. I’m sure your team and school has tuition students. Whether they play football or not is up to them. Not Alcoa’s problem. Nor is it any of the other open zone high schools in the state of TN. If Upperman continues to win, the players will come. Fact! Then, you can put all the pressure on your coaching staff rather than letting them off the hook by complaining about how unfair it is that other schools get all the players and would be less consistent without them...

Caden Tollett is a great athlete. Glad his family moved to the city of Alcoa. :thumb:

Another fake account trying to stir the pot. This one might hit 100 pages to.

Lol! At least she told us how she really feels. No holding back. I admire that! :thumb: Gotta learn how to enjoy the humor Hat. Good or bad, both teams getting noticed. That’s good for recruits!

So you're saying that any of the 2000 plus students from Cookeville HS could attend and play fb at Upperman without paying tuition? Wow! That sounds like a huge advantage that Alcoa doesnt get to enjoy
