1A Championship Cornersville vs Whitwell

All this talk about Cville not being as athletic as Whitwell is quiet funny. I hope cb10 is taking notes, he's going to have a field day Saturday night! I don't always bite in on this east vs West talent shift, I go by watching the boys play and I'm telling it like I see it and I've watched good teams for a long time now and Cville is every bit as good as advertised or I wouldn't have followed them all over West Tennessee watching them in the playoffs. No disrespect to y'all Whitwell fans but y'all might wanna check back a little

And to your point about Huntingdon, they put up Big 12 points all year on good teams, and we hold them to 7 and everybody on here downplays that defensive performance.

But have you've seen Whitwell live?

This is usually how the banter goes in 2 evenly teams on opposite sides of the bracket. Those have have SEEN or been BEATEN by Whitwell will hitch their wagon to the Tigers.

Those that have SEEN or been BEATEN by Cornersville will hitch their wagon to the Dawgs.

Then which ever team wins that one side will say, I told you so.

Who in here has seen BOTH teams LIVE this year?  AND against one of their top opponents?

Once again, not bashing anyone. Just an opinion. A throwing team could have a pretty good game vs Cville if they wanted to. And Whitwell can throw the ball. And there’s more than just 2 players in the back end of your defense. At least I hope so. You already know I said they were good players.

But I don’t know why people keep throwing around the saying “Mr. Football” and “East West All Star game” like it has anything to do with who will win this game. No, they more than likely will. But individual awards mean nothing at this stage. Awards mean nothing, I agree and I'm totally against Mr. Football award now that they combined it but to the fact that if the best player in 1A plays on a team that has no other talent then they go totally unnoticed. But just take a minute and watch the execution of Cville's offensive line, they rank up there with some of those from UC a few years back, and yes I seen them many times, they will be the difference in the game
