The Fayetteville Tiger's 2019 schedule was released last night on FB.  Oh Em Gee.  We have our work cut out for us.  But, can't get better with only cupcakes.

8/23 Marion Co.

8/30 @ Zion Christian

9/6 Huntland*

9/13 @ Mt. Pleasant*

9/20 @ Moore Co.*

9/27 Richland*

10/4 Cornersville*

10/11 Open

10/18 @ Gordonsville

10/25 Whitwell

11/1 @ Sale Creek

Easiest schedule Fayetteville has had in years. Sale Creek and Zion Christian are awful.  Marion County is way down and Whitwell will be not be as good this year. Check the schedule in the past and compare it to this year, not even close.

Marion County will improve and Gordonsville will be solid.   Agree with the rest of this post.    Nolensville off the schedule is good.

I would not want a 1-9 single A team getting a new coach scheduling Gordonsville, Marion County, or defending state champion Whitwell for non region games. Will none of the schools in the middle school football conference schedule the Tigers in high school? Community, Cascade, Eagleville, Forrest all make more sense than many of the non region games. The last two Fayetteville schedules have been head scratchers.

The 2018 schedule was the end of the two-year contract w/ Nolensville, Warren Co., Harpeth, and Forrest.  Before that contract, we locked up with Franklin Road Academy and Cascade when districts were re-scrambled.  Not afraid of "playing up", and i guess it does make some sense to play teams we hope to compete against when we go post-season.   Here we go!

If Fayetteville gets hammered by Marion County in week 1 it could be deja vu in 2019. One or two injuries and a couple of frustrated & talented players causing headaches. If the kids that came through middle school are still together they have some potential but they will need some confidence in themselves and the new coach early in the season after the 2018 experience.

Richland will be a top 2 team in the region next year. Fayetteville has kids that were dismissed last that will make a difference this year, and could very well be in the Top 2.

I will agree with you, and also mention the large number of injuries relative to our roster size last year as well.  Some only got to play a couple of games last season, some out all season.  We had (almost) as many dressed out as on crutches or knee braces.

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
