How was the officiating yesterday in the Boro?

The Cheatham /Grainger game I thought was called very well.  I really like the fact they weren't quick on the whistle with loose balls.  Allowed the kids to play early and get into the tempo of the game.  Didn't get caught up in to the runs by either team and start calling it super tight either way.  Of course, as a fan, I see every call they miss for my team and ignore the ones they miss for the other.  Overall, they did a good job.

I thought it was mostly called pretty good. The only thing I do not like is assessing the "charge" call so deep under the basket. I believe Tennessee needs to install the "charge circle" for high school basketball.

The refs were allowing both teams to beat the other team like a drum. LOL! You could say that they were allowing them play but a foul is a foul. I don't have any ties to either Loretto or Oneida but they both had to have been frustrated with the lack of calls from getting beat to death. The block/charge call is the toughest call for refs to make in basketball but in this game in my opinion they missed this call alone 3-4 times.

They also let quite a few over the back calls go as well.  You could also say they were at least consistent with their lack of calls both ways as well. They refs didn't show any favoritism towards either team with the officiating but I still think when someone is clearly fouled the whistle has to be blown.

There were 2 or 3 officials that I cant for the life of me figure out how and why they were there. I guess it's ok to fall to the floor with the ball and roll now because I never saw a travelling call made when that happened. They let the girls play wayyyy more than games I saw during regular season and district tournament. A couple of local guys from West TN did a pretty good job

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
