They do burgers and pizzas and stuff like that. Good food and nice little spot on the river to eat. Also, there is usually a meal served by one of the school groups or sports teams in the cafeteria before games. Agree here. Marina is probably the best eat in Meigs, just not really considered in town so I didn’t mention it.

Great catfish and hushpuppies though. The Diner has a great selection of food that is good. Lahacienda has good Mexican food. Dixon's bbq is good, but not sure of the hours and days they're open. For a small town there's a great selection of quality food.

I prefer La Hacienda if you like Mexican. And as far as Meigs goes RTD, I dont think we will have a large falling off for another 3 years or so. I say then because I don't know how the current 8th graders will perform. I do believe after this year we will have some decent playoff runs. I believe the backup qb has alot of the skills our current qb has. Great running ability with good passing ability hes a Sophomore this year was part of an undefeated 8th grade football team if I'm not mistaken. We also picked up a rb from Bledsoe I hear is gonna be a stud he is suppose to be a freshman this year. We should have a really bright future the next few years. That's about the same for TC we will take a small step back with graduating 9 seniors. But the size coming up from the freshman and 8th grade will be really good. Moving to 1A football in 2 years will help with the drop-off for TC.

Always good news to hear, I love having good teams take the field every year. It's alot more fun honestly when your program is established and you know you will be pretty good before you even see them play. We are at this point now at Meigs and just enjoying the ride. Glad our kids got to be a part of it.
Yeti
Got to watch the 7th and 8th graders play football for Meigs this evening. I can assure you that you can add + 2 years to the being good for 3 more years statement that I made earlier. They have some lineman that are as big as some of our current lineman. #10 was a very good athlete could throw the ball as an 8th grader pretty good with well above average running ability. Our future is very bright from what I saw today.

So I guess it runs in the family. In my opinion he’s even better at basketball. Edited August 16, 2019 by Dadof2

I'm sure he will see some playtime next year as a freshman for sure. Score ended up being 34-6 against Sequoyah, but we seem to put on the brakes well before the game was done. I'll try and follow this team as well if I can. But if you go to these games as well could you sometimes post the score as well Dadof2? RunnerUp
I have it on good authority that the Tiger Cage will have Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches for sale at all the home games. It may not be the best you've ever had but it will be the best you will have there that night.
MarsBlackmon
I thought they looked pretty good. Sequoyah wasn't very good, but it was a fun atmosphere, especially for a middle school game. I think it's good that the HS staff is running the middle school program -- this way the 8th graders will get accustomed to the system they will run in HS. It's great to be a Meigs County Tiger!
