ONB.. I think he’s likely a good player. There seems to be some waddage as well. LMBO

Barney, Old Pirate says the only type capable of wadding is them granny type used to cover something similar to the surface of the moon! OP ain’t jest joking neither. Leastways, the Pirates have depth and creates opportunity & experience that produce excitement

Even though y’all wore us out lol. That qb is a great player

Yeah, we had a good game our guys were pretty psyched for that game. Appreciate the compliment. That fullback you all had was a handful. I wasnt sure we could contain him lol, but we managed to get it done. I thought your qb was pretty good as well. He didnt throw much but fought hard when he kept the ball. Did he graduate?

Yes he graduated, the full back his junior year was a hoss, his senior year he really didn’t do much. The qb was a great player and kid, his brother starts for the St. Louis cardinals. I really wish Sequatchie would throw the ball more but I understand why we don’t cause the line don’t block that good. We got some big boys they are just scared or idk what’s wrong with them. I work with a guy from south Pitt and he asked me how meigs was since y’all play them this year and I told him that qb will be the best they have seen all year. It’s gonna be hard to stop him

I hate to brag on our qb, but he is an absolute beast when hes touching the ball. Hes pretty hard to stop. Even arguably the best defense in 2A last year ( Trousdale ) only held him to 102 yards rushing and 260 yards passing I believe it was. Hes a special player to watch. And a nightmare for defenses.

The only way to beat Meigs is to outscore them. No one is stopping Swafford in 1-2A Tennessee football.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
