UC takes on the Pioneers in GC

Well Lake County is really a good team. Tonight our defense actually looked pretty good until the turnovers kept piling up. There's only so long you can keep your defense on field without wear and tear physically and mentally. On top of that it seemed like every turnover happened when momentum was starting to swing our way.

I hear UC hit them with a 76 touchdown PASS first play from scrimmage that got called back … Along with the TOs how many penalties were called on the Tornadoes ?

I think this is more about Union City losing than it is GC winning. But much props to GC on a big region win. Sets them up to get a home playoff game in November.

If GC wins out then week 10 at the palace could  be the potential region championship game

UC had 500 yards of offense with 25 first downs and Gibson had 350 yards of offense with 13 first downs. UC beat themselves tonight with the fumbles. Gibson County is a good football team but we handed this one to them on a platter.

That’s why I say it’s more about UC losing than it is GC winning. Yes you have to give GC credit for making the plays when given to them but UC did not play a typical football game. This is something that happens once every blue moon so I’m warning people, don’t put too much stock into GC quite yet.

IF there weren’t turnovers........   who would have ever guessed GC wouldn’t get any credit.

No credit given when we beat Peabody last year... every excuse from the players partied too hard the night before, to the refs cheated, to the field was too wet... no credit!

We hang 61 on Union City tonight, but Union City had 15 unforced turnovers they say... in fact, half of those fumbles were from the center getting beat off the ball and having bad snaps. With all due respect to Union City, Union city has fumbled the ball in every game they’ve played this season!

I’ll be real with all y’all... Gibson County is going to have a great season this year... we will be down a little next year... but after that, Gibson County WILL BE busting some heads in this region for years to come. The best has yet to come, I assure you all!
