Covington is Shook. Lost their identity. They don't know who they are. Let's abandon the wing-t. Wing- t not gonna be effective out of Gun or Pistol. Somebody with some football knowledge let em know. Don't know what they want to do. Got a great natural grass field, next gon want turf. Want to be what they aren't. With the Milan loss to McNot , Cov had perfect second chance to take the district and just looked SHOOK. No other way to put it

SG Congratulations you deserve it, you came in with everything in Cov's favor/Home field, open week, following a L and took it. They had the athletes you guys had the intangibles. Much respect to SGC

This is the offense they surprised Alcoa with last year and were very effective...one BIG difference is that Brock Lomax isn’t under center to run it. The transfer between the QB and RB with the option they were running tonight was slow and at times looked like they were fighting for the ball. Also the line had trouble. They were attempting to cut SG’s center and the center would simply stand up and shed the center. There was little second level blocking and a little too much repetitive play calling.I sound like a Monday morning QB but that’s what these forums are for, right? Haha....I hope they get things fixed because now it seems that McNairy is a must win! And we sure do miss Caleb Winfrey at linebacker!

It was a game that was worthy of being the game of the week.

I was pulling for Covington, but y'all definitely put "the resistors to the Chargers!" Congratulations on winning the Class 3A Region 7 championship, and good luck the rest of the way.  There's no doubt that this was a huge victory for the South Gibson football program.

Hopefully, Covington will recharge and finish the season strong with victories over Sheffield and McNairy.
