I mean every good program I can recall over the last 30 years has had a few poor years.  I can name several programs that have had good programs such as Cleveland, Oak Ridge, Farragut but they stumped their toe every once in a while. But all of those programs have not had the level of success that Maryville has had. So what is Maryville doing that other programs are not doing? I mean they have not lost a regular season region game in 20 years and have enough gold footballs to make Fort Knox jealous.

I mean these are all things that successful programs have plus the support from the community but Maryvilles success rate is off of the chart. There has got to be more to it then what has already been mentioned. You have 4 high schools in Blount County....are you telling me that Maryville gets the majority of the good players? It just seem like everyone is not playing on the same level playing field. Even in college there are programs that have success for years then fall off. But Maryville has not lost pace for over 20 years. Anyway what a great tradition that Maryville has established over the years probably one that will never be  matched.

It's the fans from Athens who decreased the gap by 10% since early this morning and they were wondering what the holdup was with their Maryville friends.  lol
