Trousdale hosts Marion

I know this will be a very hard game for our kids. Trousdale has one of the best teams in the state most years. We have beat them some and they have beat us some. I believe our kids will surprise some people at how hard they play. You will see a well coached team that plays the game they love as hard as they possibly can play. These kids are relentless and have had a rough go at it this year. We are a young team that is building for the future. Coach Mathis will have them ready and playing hard in this game. I know Coach Mathis has saved some new plays for this game. This is the most important game of the season this week and I expect our kids to play like it. I do not know if we will win the game but I am optimistically hopeful we can. I know our kids will represent our program and town the same way we have all season long with honor and integrity. Those two things are the most important thing teaching our kids. It's not always about the scoreboard. It's a great day to be a warrior.

That's great that Marion plays with honor and integrity. Also, you're right every game in the playoffs is the most important and I'm sure Mathis has played saved. Yes, Marion. Has beaten TC. With all that being said this Marion Co team isn't the team of yesteryear's and all those saved plays won't keep this game from being a running clock. I have told you in a different thread that in playoffs all that matters is a score board once that clock has zeros on it the football season is over for a team and that team will be Marion Co this Friday. Good luck with Marion Co basketball season this year.

You know what?... I've given you a hard time this season, but I hope that you understand that it's all in fun. Sometimes you're way over the top with the lollipops, rainbows, and fairy tale endings, but this post I can respect. You obviously love MC, and back them with the faith that all fans should display, and there should be more die hard fans like yourself... from the bottom of my heart... GOOD LUCK TO THE WARRIORS!!!

Yes, it is. You are judged by wins and losses. Jasper has had a young team since Ross left...

Unfortunately for Marion, this will not be a good experience. The trip to TC will be long and going back home will be longer.

TC is the prohibitive favorite!!

They can hope for a miracle that TC muffs the opening kick and Jasper recovers on the 5.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
