What about a AAAA team in a 5 team region that goes 6-4? 0-4 in their region and  6-0 against the 6 1A cupcakes they scheduled... What about the 1A team thats in a 5 team region that goes 2-8? 2-2 in their region and 0-6 against the gauntlet of 3A and 4A teams.. winning record doesnt always mean youre good and losing record doesnt always make you bad.

How many 2-8 teams advance to the second round, regardless of region record?

If that happens SP will have it made every year...you want have us to deal with.  I heard on countless occasions after the last time, that we'd probably move up to 2A before going to Region 1.

I’m confused wouldn’t you still meet SP in the Semis to get into the championship game.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
