Round 3: Blackman (8-4) at Oakland (12-0)

TB: Oakland- Malone is a good back but Oakland has 5 backs that could start at 95% of the programs in the state.

WR: Blackman- IMO, the deepest part of Blackman's team. Lark, Martin and Newsome can def hurt Oakland if they get into open field

OL/TE: Oakland- Pretty much the ideal weather for an offense like Oakland. Blackman has a pretty good kind line of their own.

DL: Push- I think you could make the case for both. Blackman has a line that is better suited to stop the run; Oakland has a line that is better suited to stop Spread/Pass- heavy offenses

LB: Push- Blackman has the better individual LB in Murphy, but Oakland has the better unit

DB: Oakland- Because of their scheme, this is always going to be a position of strength for Oakland. McDonald doesn't get hyped up as much becaise of how dominant Oakland has been

Special Teams: Oakland- probably the biggest gap bewteen units of these 2 teams. An improved performance from Blackman in this area def helps their chances

Good analysis.  
 

I like what Coach Hartsfield said in the paper.  We did shoot our selves in the foot and give away a bunch of points last time.  Looks like coach is confident which makes me confident.  He said what I have been thinking.  Tough schedule gonna have us ready. 
 

you gonna be there MTFB or will the rain scare you off?  I have heard Oakland fans don’t show up in bad weather!  Lol

I was an Oakland fan long before we were good , so a little rain isn't gonna scare me away

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
