Evidently not.Snyder is active in lots of things and has had a recruiting trip to Harvard if that tells you about the kind of grades he has.

I have never seen the kid play. I was just thinking that they take in academics and character. Not saying the kid doesn't have all three just thought they looked at more than just stats.

I guarantee not single voter call a school and check on grades or character of any of the kids they voted for.

Do coaches even nominate their players?

No they don't.  Just writers and media folks. But I believe there are some sports writers and media that do reach out to coaches across the state for some input on their school's players.   I have no problem with that and really would like to see a centralized location of sorts where info such as I posted above can be sent and gathered and easily accessible to those voting.  Nothing wrong with being more informed.

I'm not a voter but that and other qualities would seem to be a good thing to submit along with the stats.

Old Pirate agrees, Stats should Not be driving force in Mr. Football Example, A team could have a player who puts up huge stats against a very weak schedule and another player stats may be far less impressive but against better competition or may get limited touches due to success of their team.
