Well, first off congrats to both teams for making it to the semifinals like most thought. Our boys are so focused and ready for this game. In talking to a lot of them the past week, they have a ton of respect for the Greenback program and players and are excited for a great opportunity. I like what one of the kids told me. He said "a lot of people make a big deal about some transfers but we don't as a team. We spend all off season dedicated to lifting weights and conditioning and then put in all the hard work in fall camp for this moment. We want to play the best. We don't want to play some cake team. It's our 11 against theirs and that's all that matters". I thought that showed a lot of maturity. So, I know their has been a lot of garbage talk between some on here...but from a players perspective and I would say on both sides...both respect each other and are ready to get it on.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
