You guys better make sure our donkey is good to go and ready to be picked up. @Tide21 is supposed to be picking him up in Tiptonville Friday morning and riding him to Parsons.

No worries that’s guidances specialty!! Better pick him up in a tank...no telling what he’s been eating drinking or smoking? @Tide21 you’ve been warned!

Always great when the band and students are involved and can help create an atmosphere. I remember when I was a little lad, the band playing on Friday nights was a staple for a Friday night football game. I love to see that.

I’ve seen first hand that the band can make a difference.
A few years back the Mustangs were playing Mitchell in the playoffs at Paul Ward. Huntingdon had a good crowd. Mitchell had about 10 fans on their side of the stands. Huntingdon was leading and looked to have control. Before halftime the Mitchell band bus rolls up and parked on the far end on the field. The percussions started playing before they got off the bus. They played all the way to the stands. It wasn’t a real big band but they spread out all over the stands and danced and continued to play. I noticed the safety on the field started to dance around with the beat. They got loose. They started hitting. Before you knew it they were dancing after every play. They took the lead and never looked back. The band played from the time they got off, until they loaded back up on the bus. I’ll never forget it.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
