Just to make people call me names too I'll throw my 2 cents in. If you get multiple transfers at a public school multiple years in a row that comes in and immediately helps your program....that's not coincidence. We get transfers every year, the vast majority don't even play sports. Of those that do VERY few are EVER any good let alone contribute right away. In the last 16  years here I've seen maybe 15-20 kids transfer here and play ball. about half of those had ZERO intentions of even playing ball when they got here. I've seen 4 kids in 16 years transfer in here and immediately help us. I've seen ONE come in and be an All Region type player.

That’s because you’re in Cosby. That’s like Oneida nobody wants to move to Cosby. . . Or Oneida :roflol:

....or Hampton.

You go with what ya got. I think it says a lot about a program and coaching when you consistently take a group of "home boys" and play competitive football. You know as well as I do, if Oneida or Hampton type teams get a stud transfer or two, it's a totally different situation....But that's not gonna happen very often.

I’ve said throughout the years if we were 20 minutes from Knoxville or oak ridge we’d have to rebuild our trophy cases regularly. Geography has as much to do with it as anything. I drive 2 1/2 to 3 hours s round trip to work. I’m not unique around here in that and I’m betting plenty up your way do to. Just part of growing up in the sticks. The folks I work with act like a 20 minute commute is unbearable lol. The bigger the population the more talent in the area, the farther away you are the less talent you get from it. I’ll take the sticks myself though.

So if a school has a good team and the kid and his parents are at school where they have a bad team and Their son is really good and they transfer by the rules to a school with a good team they shouldn’t be able to do that ? The way things are nowadays with social media everybody knows where the good teams are at and kids transfer there.

I never said that anywhere. Sounds like you wanted to defend something that was never brought up. I simply said if you get lots of transfers its not a coincidence.

1-You have well known good team-You get transfers-not a coincidence

2-You actively promote your program to students and parents outside your normal zones you draw kids from-you get transfers-not a coincidence.

3-Your school has really nice facilities and lots of money to hire good coaches and keep your facilities constantly better than other schools around you-you get transfers-not a coincidence.

Any more questions Tide?

I’m not defending anything. Maybe I read a little to much in to what you typed. Thank you for educating me on things I already know
