What do you see MC doing to disrupt the Tide pass rush ?

Good question. Dont look like anybody has had a good answer to that question. I think everything got to be quick. No slow developing plays. May have to roll the QB out for some short pass plays or or QB keepers. I think if we try and run between the tackles it’s a wasted play. From looks of the forecast figure we see more run than pass

Your going to have to get vertical quickly against the tide to keep them honest and stop them from loading the box on the run.

Exactly right. East and west won’t fly with this defense. You’ll be in the negative yardage quick!!

I honestly think a small under 5ft 8 back stands a better chance, the Tide D are headhunters and really big"cant tackle what you cant find" if you look at last year we had a 6ft 230 lb back and a 5ft5 180 lb back about as strong, but the change up gave the D something different to look for,I know it sounds simple but it can be somewhat effective against a aggressive confident D,that being said will it work enough to make a difference? No idea....

I think you have a valid point there. I just would like to see us play smart football. Sometimes I think when you go into a game were you may be outmatched, coaches can get the mindset that you have to hit home runs on offense to play with championship caliber teams. I think the game although maybe do the dislike of fans can still be played 3 and 4 yards at a time and with really good teams you want to limit there possessions. I just think you can stay in a game longer with that mentality some of the time. O course 3 and 4 yards are hard to get against these kind of defenses.

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
