Well ..... This team has there work cut out for them , being one of the youngest we’ve fielded in a while there will be growing pains but the future is gonna be bright. Hopefully they can start laying the foundation this Friday and get some confidence!! Scoring points is a start in the right direction, they will be fine once they find their identity. Starts with the line giving the freshman qb some time in the pocket and opening holes for the deer in the backfield. I have 110% confidence in our coaches that they will get this team heading in the right direction.

I have done some research since my return. I fully expect you guys to be in the semifinals this season. I’m not sure anyone in the upper east is as good as they were the last several seasons.

You are right I like to goof off alot on here but in all seriousness I do think we will start figuring ourselves out.You dont beat the teams we have the last 5 or 6 years without a coaching staff you can hang your hat on.They will have the kids ready to compete.Will we win,well I dont know but it will be a good ball game.Right now we just need positive things to happen  in order to compete for the real prize.Win the region.

Now you’re starting to sound like someone in the right frame of mind. Those are very wise words, if only you had someone to tell you that weeks ago lol.

Lord knows I hate to agree with you but I’ve been telling OnB that for weeks. Just gotta get into their region schedule and they’re still gonna be a handful.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
