A long, long time ago, back in January of 2020, in a galaxy 8 hateful miles up the road...

There is civil unrest.  Civil war is definitely brewing.  For the Warriors of Jasper have a new Chief.  And he has only one thing in mind.  To bring complete destruction to The Beene.  To force Captain Victory and his Band of Pirates to kneel and declare him Emperor of the Valley.  He has gathered his troops.  He has given them instruction. Jasper has their eyes set on their coveted prize;  the complete annihilation of the Pirates of South Pittsburg with Captain Victory chained and then unmercifully impaled.  Pirate spies managed to steal video of their uprising and sheer determination to conquer the valley and bring about a new Galatic order.  Will Captain Victory prevail?  What is all this Madness?

Calling all Pirates!   Calling every man woman and child.  Defend the Beene!  Defend it like never before!  Defend it with every drop of blood that flows through your Pirate veins!  For the Showdown in South Pittsburg will commence Friday September the 11th in the year of Our Lord 2020 at 7pm Central.  Let the word go forth!  Defend The Beene!!

If that's as fired up as they can get they're are in deeeeep you know what

LOPWOAO, Nope, Old Pirate says the Boss Hogs from down under spend enough time recruiting kids north. Been that way fer decades! Besides once most jump ship, they swim back quickly. The Chiefs have a Wantabe program. YepRenSo

I knew a reference to NJ would bring OP out! If my math is right, for all y'alls talk, skillets been a decade without a ball - an aint been to the last dance in 6 or 7 years - skillets do a pretty good job of wanting to be!

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
